Warren Bretag

Warren Bretag is a highly experienced executive with a distinguished career spanning Indigenous governance, remote community development, sustainable housing innovation, retail operations, Alcohol Management Plans and Financial Literacy. With more than four decades of hands-on leadership in both public and private sectors, Warren is recognised for delivering practical, community-driven outcomes that support Indigenous empowerment, economic participation, and cultural integrity.
Previously, Warren held senior roles including Director of Stores Licencing FACHSIA , Director NT Alcohol Management Strategy and established a food security policy for the 73 prescribed Indigenous Communities during the Northern Territory emergency response. He oversaw the submission for 80 million dollars to upgrade store infrastructure though the Aboriginal Benefits Account.
As Chief Executive Officer of Wirrimanu Aboriginal Corporation (Balgo, WA) 2017- 2021, he spearheaded reforms in community governance, financial management, and cultural engagement and suicide prevention. Warren’s Board of Directors were responsible for the 2020 Senate Inquiry into remote food costs. He is considered a national expert in Remote Food Security and has been a Keynote speaker at a number of Indigenous Economic Forums

John Birse established his own computer training college – Taskforce Training working with many small business owners and writing training manuals he also became the first externally appointed Principal to a Self Governing School in Victoria – Concord School.
One of his clients was the Jim’s Group and after being asked to present a number of training sessions to their National Conferences he decided to take on a Jim’s Division – Jim’s Bookkeeping to service the growing demand of support to small businesses using the well tested Jim’s Franchising model.
John sold the National rights in April 2013 and walked away from the Jim's Bookkeeping Franchise in 2018.
John is actively involved in developing the bookkeeping industry though his involvement as a Director of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. John was part of the Expert Working Group of the National Skills Council (IBSA) which developed the current FNS10 course of Certificate IV Bookkeeping which is now the required standard for BAS Agents in Australia.
John is a life Member of Apex and has lately been involved with improving the financial governance in voluntary organisations such as Landcare. His particular focus is increasing client access to current business information using cloud accounting.

After years of working with youth across various organisations, Jinibara Elder Aunty Rhonda Sandow decided to start her own business, working towards her dream to build a transition centre for youth re-entering the community after their time in institutions.
Having worked together to build Jinibara aspirations over a number of years, Aunty Rhonda decided in 2025 to develop mentorship programs, cultural awareness and organisation development systems to enable anyone wanting to work together with a positive vision for future generations.
Mawanga Muru Pty Ltd was designed to re-imagine systems, communities and organisations where people work together for their mob, the community and for the young people of the future.
Previously she was worked as a Cultural Liaison Officer and program manager in the youth justice and housing sectors. She worked as a coordinator for the Cherbourg/Murgon Youth and Community Combined Action Association Inc. and still maintains her strong commitment to the Community, visiting family often. Rhonda has a Certificate IV in Community Service Protective Care through Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE, Nurunderi Campus.
